Could someone explain a scene from “Good Will Hunting”?

November 11th, 2011 2 comments

Question by Bob: Could someone explain a scene from “Good Will Hunting”?
What is happening in the scene where Ben Afflect’s character is wearing a suite for some reason, and then he gives money to these asian looking guys? It’s not very long, maybe 30 seconds or so and it’s about in the middle of the movie, right after Robin WIlliams and that other professor get into an argument at the bar. I really didn’t understand what was going on in that scene and i wondered if someone else did.

thanks
Actually i just looked that clip up on youtube and payed closer attention. Is aflecs character pretending to be damon’s character?

He was paying the Asians to go back to his place and wait for him. Because he is freaky like that.

Cooperstown Lions Club Rubber Duck Racing on Fly Creek

Fly Creek, NY (PRWEB) September 06, 2011

The Cooperstown Lions Club is hosting its third annual Duck Race Weekend September 10 & 11 to benefit local charities. The main event will be multiple rubber duck races down Fly Creek in front of the Mill culminating in a final race with the winner taking home a $ 100 cash purse. “This year’s high water should make for some fun racing. The unique feature of our duck racing is that visitors can watch the race from start to finish and purchase multiple ducks to enter the competition,” says Jason Tabor of the Cooperstown Lions Club. Racing ducks cost one dollar each per race and races begin at the top of each hour starting at 11:00 and ending at 3:00 with the final grand-prize race on Sunday. Additional family-friendly activities planned are duck themed carnival games for children, inflatable bounce houses, and musical entertainment.

Lions Club’s main initiatives are eyesight conservation and community betterment and the club will be accepting donations of used eyeglasses that are then recycled for distribution in less developed countries. Funds raised from the weekend are reinvested back into the community through the Lions Club Mini Grant Program offered in the spring and fall. The Lions mission is to empower volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding through Lions Clubs.

The Just Ducky Event runs from 10 am until 4 pm both Saturday and Sunday with no admission fee. The Fly Creek Cider Mill will be pressing sweet cider both Saturday and Sunday and visitors can watch the entire process in the Mill’s Cider Gallery. The Mill is located 3 miles north of Cooperstown and 24 miles south of Herkimer just off State Route 28. For more information visit the Mill’s website at http://www.flycreekcidermill.com. The Mill is open every day 9 am until 6 pm with plenty of free parking.

Question by Black Hawk: Is the “Classic Army Sportline M15A4 Rifle” ( full size, not carbine) from Pyramid Air.com a good airosft gun?
I love the M16 and I found this at Pyramidair for $ 130 and that is the part I really like about it..it is cheap!! I have been wanting a JG G36K but Airsoft GI is out of stock and my airsoft team starts getting back into airsoft at the end of this montth and ASGI didn’t have a solid date of when they will have their G36′s back in and I thought this weapon is just as good. What do you think? Thanks!!

Yes. Any Classic Army airsoft gun is going to perform fairly well. If you can find an Echo 1, then I would say get that over a Classic Army sportline.

Duck Bill Money Clip: A Gift that Gives a Good Financial Bite — Engraving Now Available for Personalized Gifts Money Clip Shipping is Free

DALLAS (PRWEB) November 21, 2008

New as of today, shoppers can order unique, free-hand engraving of up to twenty-four characters for personalized gifts.

Money Clip Woes:

“Stuffed full a few times, many money clips can never again grip a few slim bills, and carrying two holders, one for cash and one for credit cards, was an obvious problem,” said Tony Cornett, president and chief designer of Duck Bill Design. “Many money clips are more non-functional jewelry than a solution to a daily design problem.”

“After years of kitchen-table conversations, watching how people carry their dough, and giving away not-so-pretty prototypes to ‘guinea pigs’ who agreed to tell me if it worked, I created the large capacity metal money clip I carry today,” explained Cornett, a product-design and development expert inspired by friends to improve money clip functionality. “It’s cool, simple and actually works.”

A Money Clip That Actually Works:

Currency wrapped around plastic, no moving parts and spring-tension steel add up to a gift that guarantees a great money clip experience good enough to replace any wallet.

The Duck Bill Money Clip features:

Quad Bend BiteTM for a pinch that keeps holding Spring tension steel that snaps back to original form Matte or polished finish options Optional engraving – New, for personalized gifts Embossed steel gift box Free shipping in the US via first-class mail Gripping up to sixty folded bills, or an equivalent thickness of “stuff” such as six credit cards, one driver’s license and twenty folded bills, the Duck Bill Money Clip can replace a wallet for most men.

“The Duck Bill name came together when I was looking at a prototype,” said Cornett. “It was a classic Eureka moment. Hey, it looks like a duck’s bill – nostrils, an upturned upper bill – and that was it!”

The free-hand engraving option for customers to order more personalized gifts came out of a chance encounter when Cornett was shopping at a store during one of Ken Brown’s engraving events. Cornett pulled out his money clip, master-engraver Brown engraved it on the spot, and so it began.

Quack it up on the Duck Pond Blog:

The Duck Pond Blog invites photos, video and conversation about the Duck Bill Money Clip user experience. Chief-designer Cornett welcomes input about the original design and future ones. “Drop in, paddle around and quack it up,” says Cornett. “If you MacGyver some amazing situation, or craft a modification unique to you, we want to hear about it and see it here. If you’re really a wallet person and received it as a gift, tell us if it does or doesn’t work for you.”

On the web since November 2007, the Duck Bill Money Clip is also available from select Dallas retailers including the Nasher Sculpture Center Stores, Culwell & Son and iota. Here’s a good idea.. What do you think..?

October 12th, 2011 10 comments

Question by Naz: Here’s a good idea.. What do you think..?
One night, a police officer was stalking out a particularly rowdy bar for possible violations of the driving-under-the-influence laws.

At closing time, he saw a fellow stumble out of the bar, trip on the curb, and try his keys on five different cars before he found his. Then, sat in the front seat fumbling around with his keys for several minutes. Everyone left the bar and drove off. Finally, he started his engine and began to pull away.

The police officer was waiting for him. He stopped the driver, read him his rights and administered the breathalyzer test. The results showed a reading of 0.0.

The puzzled officer demanded to know how that could be.

The driver replied, “Tonight, I’m the designated decoy.”

Good idea right..? lol..
If some of you don’t get it.. The guy wasn’t really drunk..

Good One Yes???????

Question by Sangy .: Good One Yes???????
Only a GEORGIAN could think of this… from the county where drunk driving is
considered a sport, comes this true story.

Recently a routine police patrol parked outside a bar in Savannah, Georgia.

After last call the officer noticed a man leaving the bar so intoxicated that he
could barely walk. The man stumbled around the parking lot for a few minutes,
with the officer quietly observing.

After what seemed an eternity and trying his keys on five different vehicles,
the man managed to find his car which he fell into. He sat there for a few
minutes as a number of other patrons left the bar and drove off.

Finally he started the car, switched the wipers on and off (it was a fine, dry
summer night) — flicked the blinkers on, then off a couple of times, honked
the horn and then switched on the lights. He moved the vehicle forward a
few inches, reversed a little and then remained still for a few more minutes
as some more of the other patron vehicles left.

At last, the parking lot empty, he pulled out of the parking lot and started
to drive slowly down the road. The police officer, having patiently waited all
this time, now started up the patrol car, put on the flashing lights, and
promptly pulled the man over and carried out a breathalyzer test.

To his amazement the breathalyzer indicated no evidence of the man having
consumed any alcohol at all! Dumbfounded, the officer said, “I’ll have to ask
you to accompany me to the police station. This breathalyzer equipment must
be broken.”

“I doubt it.” said the truly proud Redneck.
“Tonight I’m the designated decoy.”

Is a high powered “Air Rifle” good for hunting animals ?

September 21st, 2011 5 comments

Question by Zodiac Man “The Great”: Is a high powered “Air Rifle” good for hunting animals ?
I love my 12 guage shotgun. But I do not want to use it for hunting.
I need something that is quiet, and can be used for big game hunting.
And the animals I want to hunt are deer, squirrel, birds, and rabbits.
I heard that air guns are very powerful. Some of them can go up to
1500 fps, with 30grs. Many of them are .22 or .177 calibers. Some
of them are made up to .50 calibers. And that is nothing to sneeze
at, if you are talking about trying to hunt an animal. So far, I keep
hearing about Beemans, and Quackenbushes. What do you think
would be the right air rifle for me ? I live in the Carolinas by the way
here in the states…………….

your show is much better now since you
have been on Fox News, by the way.

I used to use my granddads air rifles to kill rabbits with, I don’t remember the make as it was about 30 years ago, I was a .22, and very accurate, but it would kill a rabbit easily.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck wrote the script, (probably influenced by Catcher in the Rye) and Castle Rock bought it for $ 675,000. Miramax then bought it. Most of it was shot in Toronto, with the U of T standing in for MIT and Harvard. It had a budget of $ 10,000,000.
